Lifelong's youth program, MPowerment, helps young people make healthier decisions.
Visit MPowermentOur determination to stop the spread of AIDS means we are not waiting for people to come to us—though we are always available for help.
Lifelong is actively engaged in the community. Our prevention teams make a special effort to reach out to guys who may be at high risk for contracting HIV and STDs.
Thanks to help from our dedicated volunteers, Lifelong is one of the only programs in King County that distributes safer-sex materials to gay/bi men in high-risk environments. Below is just a partial list of what we do:
• Distribute more than 100,000 condoms each year to local bars and bathhouses so that guys will be able to prevent sexually transmitted infections
• Provide peer-to-peer outreach in bathhouses in collaboration with HIV/STD testing
• Provide outreach in Seattle's gay bars
• Develop and distribute educational materials
• Maintain the http://www.homohealth.org/ website to keep guys updated on how to stay safe
We would be happy to have you join us! We’re always looking for outreach volunteers; guys who are friendly and outgoing, and who like the social scene. If that sounds like you, let us know!
Contact our Men’s Outreach Specialist at mensoutreach@llaa.org or (206) 957-1703 to volunteer or get answers to your questions.
